I’d like to personally invite you to The Virginia Coalition of Motorcyclists’ annual Lobby Day on Monday, January 18, 2016. Join VCOM lobbyists and other fellow motorcyclists as we go to the Virginia General Assembly to speak to delegates and senators about upcoming legislation that affects all of us as motorcyclists in Virginia.
The schedule of events is as follows:
- Sunday, January 17 at 1 p.m. at the Holiday Inn on Staples Mill Road in Richmond, VCOM lobbyists will lead an informational meeting to discuss legislation affecting motorcyclists and how to talk to your legislators. Later, attendees will enjoy a free homemade BBQ dinner.
- Monday, January 18 at 8 a.m., we leave the hotel for our annual trip to the Capitol. After lobbying our legislators, we head to Penny Lane Pub where the Motorcycle Law Group will provide lunch as a ‘thank you’ to all attendees.
We’ll also cover how you can talk to your legislators if you’re unfamiliar. I encourage everyone who can to join us. It is a lot of fun, it is educational, and most importantly, it shows the legislators that motorcyclists are a significant and active portion of the electorate.
To learn more about VCOM and Lobby Day, please visit VCOMonline.org or call 1-800-437-9434. For room reservations, call 1-888-465-4329 and make sure to ask for the VCOM rate.
I hope to see you at Lobby Day.
