Details of the the Ride
Kickstands up at 10:00 am at the Days Inn and Suites, 1074 Bill Tuck Highway, South Boston, VA. We’ll ride north through the countryside on some of Virginia’s most scenic highways and byways with our ultimate destination being Harpers Ferry, WV. We will be stopping for fuel every 100 to 125 miles, and will make sure the stops will have provisions for food for those who need it. When we arrive in Harpers Ferry we’ll get checked in, then gather outside for beverages, camaraderie, swapping lies and general fun. We’ll make arrangements to have food there or you are welcome to dine on your own. At this point, the ride will be completed with the presenting of the ride t-shirts.

Virginia Coalition of Motorcyclists
Virginia Coalition of Motorcyclists, also known as VCOM, was founded in 1992 by avid motorcyclist and lawyer, Tom McGrath. Shortly before founding VCOM, McGrath had successfully opened all HOV lanes to motorcycles. With this feat in his rearview, McGrath knew there was a strong need to bring motorcyclists together. Without a strong group band together, motorcyclists would continue to be ignored by legislators. VCOM’s remarkable success now includes hundreds of motorcyclists joining together each year on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day to talk to legislators at the General Assembly.
Virginia Bikers Association
Founded in 2005, Virginia Bikers Association, commonly known as VABA, is based out of Hillsville, VA. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Holiday Inn Express off of I-77’s Exit 14. Social time starts at 6:30 pm, and the business meeting starts at 7:00 pm. VABA strives to support community events while fighting for your right to ride. Each year, VABA plays a key role in the Carroll Christmas Fund, a nonprofit organization that provides food and toys to over 500 families each Christmas season. For more information on VABA, check out our website at www.vabikers.org or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Keep the shiny side up!
